Art Exhibition Video – GENEROSITY IS THE GREATEST VIRTUE – SUN YEE’S POSTHUMOUS LEGACY FOR CHARITY “为善最乐”沈雁遗作展及专题讲座 2014年，沈雁女士遗作百余幅用于为圣路加医院筹款举办慈善展，获得热烈反响。为将沈雁女士的作品遗爱人间，家属专嘱将最后31幅画作捐赠全国肾脏基金会用于慈善筹款。承办单位宣和文物也将部分珍藏同时展出，谨此向沈雁女士致敬。展览将于11月30日-12月4日，假视觉艺术中心举行，展览期间并有新加坡艺术学院重要文物展，同时也将举办专题讲座回顾沈雁女士精彩人生。 新加坡先驱女性艺术家及美术教育家沈雁女士，1919年生于中国浙江嘉兴的书香世家，自幼受母亲及兄长影响，酷爱绘画。早年就读上海美术专科学校图音科，进修纯美术和音乐，后转入上海新华艺专继续学业，于1938年毕业。 沈雁早有志向成为艺术家，她也曾留学日本，就读日本大学艺术学部，1952年进入法国文艺大学深造，同时亦在法国著名画家法朗雷全（Fernard Leger）画室研究。沈雁留法期间，艺事猛进，曾于1953年以五件作品全部入选法国春季沙龙展，作品为法国政府收购。 沈雁于1955年移居我国，1957年在中国学会支持下创办新加坡艺术学院，出任院长兼任学院讲师，积极致力于美术教育事业，为本地培养不少艺术人才，成就有目共睹。 沈雁女士多才多艺，通晓中、英、日、法等多国语言，除绘画外，音乐、舞蹈、戏曲也是她的热爱。最为难得的是，她曾先后三次环游世界，在各地考察美术，举行画展，生前共举办多达94次个展，若加上师生联展及参与其他团体联展，更是不计其数，可谓身经百战（展）。 沈雁女士的画作近年来受到收藏界及美术馆关注，画作《多元文化》2015年在香港佳士得拍出457000港元（约8万3千新元）佳绩，新加坡国家美术馆亦藏有她的《马来弄迎舞》和《印度舞蹈》两幅水墨画。 本次慈善画展，主办单位借此机会回顾沈雁精彩艺术人生，尤其是她对于本地美术教育事业的贡献，邀请作家、文史研究者邹璐以及知名画家赖瑞龙、新加坡艺术学院第一届毕业生、知名画家姚天佑，主讲沈雁与新加坡艺术学院这段历史，讲座会主席为新加坡当代艺术研究会主席，本地知名文化学者蔡志礼博士。恳请曾经的新加坡艺术学院师生以及社会各界人士踊跃出席。也呼吁社会各界踊跃认购，共襄善举，为爱接力，为慈善尽力。
